Sonya Burks began her banking career in 1979 and joined First Citizens National Bank in 1991, where she is currently Vice President and Production Manager. Sonya and her husband, BJ, live on their farm in RoEllen, TN. They have 3 children & 5 grandchildren! She is actively involved in her church where she leads a small praise team, has been involved in civic activities such as Dyer County Leadership, Home Builders Association, Board of Realtors, past YMCA of Dyer County Board Member, ABWA Southern Accent Chapter member and past President and Vice President.

Sonya is a PATH certified instructor, which allows her to work with people with disabilities through equine therapy. Through her passion and dedication to helping others, she founded a non-profit corporation called Healing Horses, Inc. She teaches therapeutic horsemanship.

Sonya has a team of experienced mortgage lenders who all strive for perfection & professionalism through the mortgage process. She states, “It is not just about getting the job done, it is the satisfaction of helping that person or family achieve home ownership – and have a great mortgage experience. We are truly engaged with our customers and their best interest.”
